Ron MacFarlane is the father of Seth (creator of Family Guy) and Rachael MacFarlane (original voice of Meg Griffin in Family Guy).

He played the guitar in Stewie Griffin's performance of "There's a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea" in "Whistle While Your Wife Works".

Ron also narrated the episode Road to the North Pole (Dec. 12, 2010) since, according to him, Kenny Rogers was unavailable because he was dead.
