Associate Art Director on FX's animated series "Archer"
Chad Hurd is an Annie Award Nominated Atlanta based artist and director, currently working as the Associate Art Director on the animated series, Archer (F/X Network.)
Originally from rural Lincoln, Maine, Chad is generally described by friends and family as "kind, pale and talented". Chad describes himself as "awesome, wicked strong and lantern-jawed".
His foray into animation came after he and Neal Holman (Archer, Frisky Dingo, Sealab 2021) collaborated on a webcomic for a not-so-fun web contest in 2007. Despite the inherent lameness of the contest, the two enjoyed working together. Eventually, Neal brought Chad to Atlanta to join him at the animation studio, 70-30 Productions. In 2009, the studio morphed into present day Floyd County Productions, where Chad continues to grow as an artist and now director as the company expands.
Chad is married to his high school sweetheart, Kate. The couple has two cats, as well as an enormous Boxer dog named after their hometown.
