Emmett Scanlan is best known for his roles as 'bad boy' Brendan Brady in HOLLYOAKS and as the lead in CHARLIE CASANOVA, an uncompromising, controversial and multi-award winning film that evoked standing ovations, walkouts and even fist-fights in festivals around the world.
He starred in Season 2 of BBC Three's IN THE FLESH and both seasons of BBC2's award winning crime drama series, THE FALL, alongside Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan.
Recently, he played the role of Saul in NBC's new series A.D THE BIBLE CONTINUES (Series Premiered April 5, 2015).
Also in 2015, Emmett has appeared in a number of television shows: ATLANTIS (BBC1), CONSTANTINE (NBC), SUSPECTS (Channel 5, UK) and NO OFFENCE (Channel 4, UK).
Emmett has won several awards and nominations for his portrayal of Brendan Brady in HOLLYOAKS and he won the 2011 European Independent Film Festival award for Best Actor for his role as the title character in Charlie Casanova. This film also swept the board at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival picking up the awards for Best Film, Best Actor and Best Director in 2012.
